How to collect the Caregiver's Signature from the Aba Matrix App

This guide provides essential instructions for effectively collecting caregiver signatures using the ABA Matrix Mobile App, ensuring accurate documentation of sessions. It highlights the app's user-friendly features, such as offline capabilities and easy navigation, making the process seamless even without internet access. By following this guide, users can enhance their session management and maintain compliance with documentation requirements, ultimately improving service delivery.

1. Once you log in to the app, use the options at the top of the screen to navigate between dates and find the session you need:

  • Tap the left and right arrows to view sessions from previous or upcoming dates
  • Tap the date in the center to open the calendar and select a specific date
  • Tap Today to quickly return to the current day’s schedule

2. Each visit appears as a session card. These session cards are designed to give you a quick overview of the most important session details:

  • Session status (like In progress, Completed)
  • Client name
  • Service type and code
  • Session time
  • Signature status for caregiver and provider
  • Offline Ready tag

The Offline Ready tag indicates that the session is available for use even if the device loses internet connection. Any data entered offline is securely stored and will automatically sync with ABA Matrix once the connection is restored. Users can still perform key tasks such as data collection, and capturing caregiver and provider signatures.

3. To collect the caregiver’s signature:

  1. Tap the session card to open the Session Tools
  2. Select Caregiver Signature

4. The Caregiver Signature screen displays key session information to help ensure the signature is collected for the correct visit, including:

  • Client name
  • Location
  • Date and time of the session
  • Signing caregiver

5. Ask the caregiver to sign inside the signature box using their finger or a stylus. The signature should be entered clearly inside the designated area.

6. If the caregiver needs to sign again, tap Clear to erase the signature and allow them to re-sign.

7. Once the caregiver has signed, tap Save. The signature will be attached to the session and stored as part of the visit documentation.

8. If the session is marked Offline Ready, the signature can still be captured even if the device is offline. In that case, the signature will be stored locally on the device and automatically synced once internet connection is restored.

9. After collecting the caregiver’s signature, you can confirm it was successfully recorded directly from the session card. A green checkmark will appear next to Caregiver under the Signatures section, indicating that the signature has been completed.
